Rolland Garros

Guess who we saw last week warming up through the fence at Rolland Garros (the French Open), Venus Williams, ranked #2 woman in the world, although she lost today!

We got tickets for a couple days later, and saw #2 Nadal win a match.

And also saw Maria Sharapova win her match

Paris City of Light Pollution

Sorry for not writing in such a long time. But this time I have an important message Paris (the city of lights) maybe should really be called Paris, the city of light pollution. You see yesterday I was strolling down the Seine. But then the most obnoxious boat ever came down the Seine with all its spotlights aimed at the shores. Yes it may have looked pretty to the people inside the boat. But for everyone else it was completely obnoxious.

In case you're as distraught as I was when this boat floated by, I found this page with pictures showing light pollution around the world.

sunday

Sunday
Today we went down to
the Bastille where we saw Victor Hugo's house and the Carnavalet(a museum of France's history). For dinner we went to a place called the Pig's foot.

Saturday

SATURDAY
We went to the Apple store in the Louvre then went to Angelina (its motto is the best hot chocolate in the world)(I think that is the perfect motto because it is the best hot chocolate in the world) and Galinani, the first english bookstore on the continent.

bikes/velo

Some thing you may not know about Paris is that in popular areas (all over Paris) there are rent-able bikes 1 euro for a day. P.S. they are heavier then they look.

new blog

So this is my new blog I am going to tell people about my trip to Paris. I live here, between Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel tower.

In the morning , I call the Eiffel tower "mine", since we're the only ones on the plaza we scooter through at that time in the morning when no body is there.

In the coming weeks I hope to write more posts.
